In addition to our Sunday worship services and periodic
bible study groups, St. John's has many committees that plan and orchestrate
social and recreational activities for people of all ages.
- There is an active United Church Women's
group.
- We have a Saturday Nite Club that plans monthly
social events for the congregation such as concerts, comedy
performances, and dance performances.
- Another group attends current-run movies on a
regular basis.
- There are badminton clubs for women and men.
- A marathon bridge club
and a women's bridge club.
- A mixed voice senior choir compliments our Sunday
Services and arranges various music presentations with guest artists
throughout the year.
- Our theatre group entertains with their stage
productions.
- For children, parents and grandparents there is a
"sing, play and learn" program that all are welcome to attend
on Wednesday mornings.
- There is a church school and a group for
teens.
- The holiday season always brings about additional
activities such as Christmas parties for adults and children
alike.
You do not have to be a member of
St. John's to take part in these activities.
Everyone is welcome!
Worship
- A focal point of our church life is our Sunday
Church Service.
- We gather every Sunday at 10:30am
for a
traditional service of worship.
- The Worship committee coordinates the services
with the ministers and music director to provide inspiration to all.
- Lay participation is encouraged and on special
occasions guest speakers are invited
- There is a warm and loving atmosphere as
members of our congregation come together to worship each week.
- Each Sunday immediately following the service
refreshments are served and there is time for fellowship and to
catch up with friends
