Sacred Grove Trio
Do you like the music from 'Brother Where Art Thou?' Join us as we celebrate the Christian Tradition Applachian Style with The Sacred Grove Trio on Sunday Feb 19. Violinist Laura C. Bates and clarinetist John David Williams are joined by mandolin and guitar virtuoso Adrian Gross to form the Sacred Grove Trio. All three members studied music formally at the University of Toronto and Humber College respectively, and then honed their skills through experiences preforming and collaborating with musicians across Canada. They take joy in playing everywhere from concert halls to camp fires. Members of The Sacred Grove Trio also play with The Boxcar Boys (old time jazz), The Roofhoppers (Klezmer), The Lemon Bucket Orkestra (gypsy jazz) and the Slocan Ramblers (bluegrass). Influenced by gospel, bluegrass and folk music, the Sacred Grove Trio are eagerly exploring a fresh context for old traditions and are excited to share this with their audiences. They encourage you to tap your toes and sing along! |

Theresa Keelor, our Nursery Coordinator, is also looking for people to help in the nursery. We will have 3 of our youth helping out, but we need more adults. The more people we have available, the less times required through the year. If you are interested in more information, or to continue to be added to the list, please be in touch with theresa at
